Our best boat captain in Australia, Captain Bob Jones, will once again be fishing the waters of the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia for the 2008 black marlin, heavy tackle season. Bob has won numerous marlin tournaments such as the Lexus, Masters, Dunk Island, Townsville etc. This year, his twenty sixth year running boats out of Cairns, he will skipper the Fascination II that has been custom designed and built for up market live-aboard charters. Those of you wishing to fish for two or more days will find this boat not only a first class fishing machine, but the height of luxury as well.

This boat will accommodate from one to four guests comfortably, for two to ten days. While on board, everything is included: bait, tackle, snorkeling gear, dive tanks can be arranged, meals and drinks (excluding spirits). Bob and his crew are very friendly, hospitable, knowledgeable and will cater your trip to suit your needs.

The heavy tackle marlin fishing season runs from September to December with October and November typically being most productive. Of course things change from season to season and it can be very good at the tail end of the season depending on conditions.
